Bro. Kenneth "Sarge" Straughter
Southern Regional Director
Bro. Kenneth "Sarge" Straughter is a distinguished brother marked by his faith, compassion, and dedicated service. Married for 32 years to his wife Natalie, a retired educator, they have four children and four grandchildren. Bro. Straughter has an extensive background in leadership and community service. He served 12 years as Georgia Director for Bigger & Better Business, two years as Southern Regional Director, two terms as Georgia State Director, and two terms as Southern Regional 1st Vice. His military service includes 12 years in the Army and Army Reserve.
In law enforcement, he retired as Captain from the Clarke County Sheriff's Office (GA) after 37 years, where he served as Assistant Jail Commander. He was honored as Georgia Officer of the Year in 2018 by the Georgia American Legion, among other accolades. Academically, he works at the University of Georgia as a Research Assistant and works with the Athletic Department (Football SEC Officials/Chain Crew). Bro. Straughter is also a Past Master of The Star of Mt. Zion Lodge #370 PHA, with over 33 years of involvement.
As the CEO of The Attentive Ear of Georgia, he provides pre and post-marriage counseling services as a certified chaplain. He serves on the American Chaplain Association Board of Trustees. Bro. Straughter holds a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University.
